Course Aims | ||||||||||
The course is designed for the students to carry out an independent project based on their knowledge and research ability in the field of health science and management. The dissertation study under the supervision of a mentor will provide the students with the opportunity to apply the knowledge of theoretical subjects to build a practical project. Topic of projects includes conventional biomedical research or clinical sciences as well as regulatory, administrative, or educational research in the health science-related fields. Through conducting the project study, students are expected to develop critical thinking, analytical ability, and evaluative skills in a chosen area of specialization as well as they will learn how to write and defend their dissertation. Two options are provided to each student: individuals will do independent research project under PI’s supervision in co-organized departments like MS/SYE or groups can be formed to conduct a joint project in MS/SYE, or under PI’s supervision in other departments with prior consent sought from the course leader/coordinator. | ||||||||||
