Adapting to new educational model was initially challenging, but it has eventually proven to be an indispensable experience. Moreover, the exposure to cutting-edge medical laboratory instrumentation and technologies in UBC has equipped me with a more comprehensive understanding of the field and has sparked my curiosity to explore new research frontiers.
Beyond the academic realm, this exchange has also been a profound personal journey. Living and studying in a foreign country has pushed me out of my comfort zone and challenged me to become more independent, adaptable, and culturally aware. Navigating the differences of a different language and social customs has sharpened my communication skills and my ability to empathize with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
