Prof. ZHANG Yong, the Head of Department, led the team (Prof. Kannie CHAN, Prof. Cecil CHEN, Prof. King LAI, Prof. SHI Peng, Prof. WANG Dongan, and Prof. XU Chenjie) to Shanghai for an academic exchange between 26 and 28 August 2024.

The delegation visited the Institute of Translational Medicine at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, the School of Biomedical Engineering at ShanghaiTech University, and Shanghai United Imaging Healthcare Co., Ltd. to meet academic faculty and experts. During the visit, the delegation introduced BME, CityUHK's programmes and research strengths. The parties also explored the feasibility of co-organizing joint symposiums and establishing research collaborations.
