Prof. SUN Dong and his team have developed a magnet-driven microwalker that is made of two, equal-length rigid segments connected by a joint. It can move in surface in a nonliquid-filled environment, and climb a slope driven by the planar magnetic field.

The work has been published in the journal Advanced Intelligent Systems titled “Magnet-Driven Microwalker in Surface Motion Based on Frictional Anisotropy”.
