The Hong Kong Chapter of “Maker in China” SME Innovation and Entrepreneurship Global Contest 2021 was successfully held on 18 Aug 2021 with more than 100 teams participated. Greater Bay Biotechnology co-founded by Dr. Chenjie XU won the second runner-up with its cryomicroneedles (CMNs) platforms for therapeutic cells and other biomedical products. The Greater Bay Biotechnology is also one of the awardees of CityU HK Tech 300 Seed Fund.

The top three teams will represent Hong Kong in the grand final in mid-September and compete against other winners from Central and Eastern Europe, ASEAN, Japan and South Korea. The contest provides the opportunity for them to expand their businesses to Greater Bay Area markets, such as matching sessions with Mainland investors, opportunities in entering local technology parks, and mentorship to transform technological achievements.
