Student Activities

Our final year undergraduate students Miss ABYLOVA Bermet, Miss AITKULOVA Dariia, Mr. CHU Hon Man Herman and Miss WONG Ching Yu won the Outstanding Award in the ASMPT Technology 2024 by presenting their final year project “Microfluidics platform for particle enrichment and capture”. Under the supervision of Prof. KHOO Bee Luan, the project aims to design, fabricate, and validate a novel automated and time-efficient miniaturized microfluidic cell sorting system capable of enriching circulating tumor cells and leukocytes from whole blood for diagnostic precision and research applications.

The ASMPT Technology Award is a competition to encourage undergraduate students to share their innovative research and development designs in their final year projects. This year, a total of 11 teams from six Universities participated in the competition.
