Payment of Tuition Fees
Non-local Students of Regular Bachelor/Sub-degree Programmes
Students will receive payment advices notifying them of the amount of fees and charges (including tuition, residence fees and insurance premium) and the due date for payment. Students can also check their account summary in AIMS in the CityU Portal. They are expected to settle the fees and charges following the University's payment schedule.
Exchange Students
Exchange students should settle their residence fees and insurance premium after the close of add/drop period of the semester/term.
Visiting Students
Visiting students should have settled their tuition fees before enrolment.
Important Notes
- Non-local students may open a bank account to deal with the tuition and fees payment after arriving at CityU. For payment methods and other details, please see Tuition Fees.
- If students could not pay the fees and charges in full by the payment due date, a late payment charge will be imposed immediately.
- Students may have their studies terminated by the University if they have fees outstanding and take no actions despite our email reminders.
- Termination of studies would result in invalidation of student visa/entry permit. Student’s visa/entry permits for studying at the University and the permission to remain in Hong Kong will end 4 weeks after the date of termination or upon the expiry of the limit of stay granted in accordance with his/her student visa/entry permit, whichever is earlier. It is an immigration offence for breach of condition of stay if the student fails to leave Hong Kong within the prescribed time.
