The two universities will foster comprehensive collaboration in academic exchange with a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), signed by Professor Li Wenjung, Vice-President (Talent and International Strategy) of CityUHK and Professor Gravett. The MoU aims to launch exchange activities for academic, research and administrative personnel, and explore possibilities for student exchange, cooperation in offering degree programmes and/or training courses, and academic research collaboration in projects of mutual interest.

“After being recognised as the Most International University in the World by Times Higher Education, the partnership between CityUHK and University of Johannesburg is a testament to our ongoing efforts to forge global collaboration. We look forward to the exciting opportunities this partnership will bring for faculty and students in both institutions,” said Professor Li.

Members of the delegation from UJ included Professor Ylva Rodny-Gumede, Senior Director (Global Engagement), and Ms Anisa Khan, Director (Academic Services).

CityUHK senior management attending the meeting included Professor Yue Chee-yoon, Dean of Graduate Studies, Professor Lin Feng, Dean of the School of Law, Professor Alfred Ho Tat-kei, Dean of the College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences, Professor Dai Lin, Director of the Global Engagement Office, and Ms Ng Pheck-choo, Director of the Office of the President.
