The University identifies high calibre students with outstanding academic and/or non-academic achievement for the entrance scholarships upon successful admission; students do not have to submit application separately. Entrance scholarships are available for both local and non-local students.
Studentships and Financial Aids for Research Degree Students
Various forms of internal and external financial aids/scholarships are provided by the University/the Government to recognise research degree students with outstanding academic performance and to support their research studies. The University Grants Committee has also introduced a “Tuition Waiver Scheme” for all local students enrolled in full-time UGC-funded Research Postgraduate programmes in local institutions, to cover their tuition fees.
CityUHK offers various types of scholarships and prizes which are donated by individuals, private organizations, professional bodies and academic departments, in order to recognize the academic and non-academic achievement of our students.
