Prof. Jeanine Sandy

Biography

Prof. Jeanine Sandy is a dual boarded veterinary pathologist, with both anatomic and clinical pathology expertise. After graduating with first class honours from the University of Queensland, 1991, she worked as a small animal clinician before completing a PhD in virology in the faculty of Medicine at the University of New South Wales in 1999. In 2000, she worked as a lecturer/senior lecturer and trained in anatomic pathology at the University of Melbourne. Prof. Sandy completed anatomic pathology Board exams of the American College of Veterinary Pathologists in 2010 whilst working as a clinical instructor at the North Carolina State University. Jeanine worked in academic and private practice until 2018, when she joined CityU's Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory (VDL). In 2020, she accepted an academic position in the Veterinary Clinical Services as a Clinical Associate Professor. Her collaborative clinical research interests are very broad, with interests in infectious and emerging diseases. In 2021, she achieved a diplomate status with the American College of Veterinary Pathologists as a clinical pathologist.
