Dr. Diane Lu

Biography

Dr Lu graduated from National Taiwan University in 1996, then pursued 3 years postgraduate study in University of Glasgow Veterinary School (GUVS) where her interest in Neurology grew. After a 1-year internship at GUVS, Dr Lu joined the Royal Veterinary College Queen Mother Hospital (QMH) in London and successfully completed a 3-year residency in Veterinary Neurology. She stayed on another year as a staff clinician at QMH before returning to her home place Hong Kong in 2003. Dr Lu has been board certified since 2004, holding a Diplomate in European College of Veterinary Neurology (DipECVN). She is the first veterinary neurologist working in the largest multidisciplinary referral hospital in Hong Kong, and launched the first successful neurology residency program from 2015-2019.

Dr Lu runs the Neurology service at CityU VMC. Her main interests in neurology include neuroimaging, challenging spinal surgeries, and treating brain diseases especially meningoencephalitis. She is devoted to clinical work and collaborate with colleagues locally and internationally in searching for the best treatment for the neurological patients.
