Dr. Belinda Hopper

Biography

Dr Belinda Hopper is a veterinary radiologist with more than 20 yrs' experience in the discipline. With a background in equine medicine and surgery, and now a keen interest in exotic animals and wildlife, Dr Hopper thrives on comparative anatomy, physiology and medicine. Another of her passions is echocardiography and she and her team are leaders in this field in Australia.

Dr Hopper trained at Murdoch University and spent many years working in the teaching hospital there, followed by a long tenure in private referral practice. Most recently, she has co-founded a new referral specialist multidisciplinary veterinary hospital in Perth, Western Australia, where she strives to provide a supportive, progressive workplace for a highly motivated veterinary team.

Dr Hopper is a long-standing member of the executive of the Radiology Chapter of the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists with several tenures as president, as well as being a regular mentor and examiner for Fellowship, Small and Large Animal Membership candidates. She is a regular lecturer at continuing education events around Australia.
