OBTL- Example ToolsAction Verbs
You know now what Intended Learning Outcomes (ILO's) are, don't you?
ILO's contain an action verb which identifies the learning outcome, in other words what it is YOU can do after successfully completing a task/ project/course/field trip or programme. Action verbs are often organised into levels, such as in the SOLO (Structured Observed Learning Outcomes), according to their complexity/difficulty.
For example, making a list or describing something is generally seen as a less complex task than generating a new theory from existing concepts.
