From October to November 2018, CityU young artists joined hands again with the top artists from the world, including Ms Shih-San Wu (Taiwan percussionist), Mr Cy Leo (World Harmonica Solo Champion), Ms Chan Pik-Sum (local huqin artist), vocalists from Poland, as well as friends from Xinhai Conservatory of Music in Guangzhou: Lingnan Girls Choir, professors and students from Chinese Music department and dancers from School of Dance, to present a series of extraordinary Chinese and Western music performances in the "CityU Arts Festival 2018". One of the climaxes of the festival was the production of "Footloose", a Tony Award winning musical, performed by CityU students.
"CityU Christmas Concert 2018 - Shining City, Holy Night" was successfully held on 20 December 2018. More than 120 performers including CityU Choir, CityU Chinese Orchestra, CityU Philharmonic Orchestra, CityU Student Union Christian Choir and talented vocalists created a wonderful musical feast with happiness and enjoyment in this evening.
