Wieder persuades a resident named Sanchez to talk about things that they should or should not be doing. During the conversation, Sanchez explicitly cites "the code":
- I[Wieder] asked him… were there things that they should and should not do. He [Sanchez] said that "guys" should not snitch (inform on each other) or steal from one another. I asked him if there were anything else, and he replied that, yes, there was more to the code than that
Members themselves seemed to be accounting for their actions by referring to the code.
