Fruitful life in the Student Residence is waiting for you in Semester B of 2009/2010. Are you ready for it?  If you are interested in basketball, badminton, singing, photography or other things, here is an excellent stage for you.
The Professor Edmond Ko Cup was set up in 2006-07 and includes seven inter-hall competitions such as basketball, badminton and table-tennis. Scores will be given to each hall according to their performance in each competition and count towards determining the overall champion of the Cup.

The first competition in Sem B is the Inter-hall Basketball League, which comprises 5-vs-5 games for men and 3-vs-3 for women. The matches will be held every Sunday at 6:00pm-9:00pm from 31 January to 28 March at our Outdoor Basketball Court. Last season HSBC Prosperity Hall (Hall 2) won the men’s championship and JC Harmony Hall (Hall 7) won the women’s championship. But this year who will win the championship? – Only the team who demonstrates the most outstanding talents and teamwork in the 4-game series.

What’s more, the Inter-hall Badminton Competition will be held in March. As well as a competition, it is also a great chance for you to meet people with the same interest in your hall. If you want to play on the court for your Hall or want to be a cheering leader or just want to watch the games, contact your Residence Tutor or check out the SRO website for details now!

Besides basketball, there are other exciting competitions in the Edmond Ko Cup. Every year the Inter-hall Photography Competition has attracted talented photographers producing fantastic works. This year the theme is “Prosperity” and the deadline for submission is February 5.

These activities are all organised by Residence Tutors (RTs) and  Residents’ Associations (RAs), who have been devoting a lot of effort to help make our residential life fruitful and meaningful. If you want to be a volunteer in helping to organise these activities and gain some experience, just contact your RT or RA.
