Academic Quality

CityU's academic quality framework is articulated in the CityU Quality Manual which offers an institutional infrastructure within which operational responsibility for quality assurance and improvement is located at the College/School level. The Quality Assurance Committee (QAC), a Senate committee, provides oversight and advice on policy matters related to academic quality, as well as on academic review.

The Office of the Provost and Deputy President supports the work of the QAC to assist Colleges and Schools in their enhancement of learning and teaching quality through carrying out:

• learning and teaching evaluation;
• departmental academic advisor scheme;
• external academic advisor scheme;
• annual programme reporting; and
• external quality audits as required by HKSAR government agencies from time to time.
