劉真辰
LIU Zhenchen
2000年畢業於上海大學美術學院油畫系，同年赴法，在 Villa Arson 尼斯國立當代藝術學院相繼獲得藝術學士和碩士學位。2005–2007年于法國 Le Fresnoy 國立當代藝術工作室深造。於巴黎和上海生活。
After graduating from the oil painting department of Fine Arts College, Shanghai University in 2000, Liu left for France to pursue a bachelor’s and then a master’s arts degree at the National Superior School of Arts in Villa Arson, Nice. This was followed (2005 to 2007) by further studies at Le Fresnoy – National Studio of Contemporary Arts in France. Liu lives in Paris and Shanghai.

在歐洲工作生活了十幾年，在歐洲的時候時常覺得中國的生活是一場夢，而在中國的時候卻覺得歐洲的生活是一個夢，有時候醒來後需要反應幾秒鐘自己是在哪裡。視頻的內容是我自己拍攝的「這兒」的現實和「那兒」的夢，或許是「這兒」的夢和「那兒」的現實。視頻之間的「混合」可以理解為「時空」的錯位，形式所引發的想像使得內容游離於醒和夢之間。
Having lived and worked in Europe for over 10 years, I often felt that my life before, in China, was a dream, while feeling when in China that my life in Europe was also a dream. Sometimes, when I woke up, I needed to reflect for a few seconds to figure out where I was. The contents of this video are what I captured from the reality “here” and the dreams “there”. The “hybridity” of the videos can be understood as a displacement of space and time. The imagination triggered by the form causes the images to drift between the realms of dreams and wakefulness.

Liu’s works have been featured in such French museums and exhibitions as the Grand Palais, the Petit Palais, the Palais de Tokyo, the Centre Pompidou, in Paris; at the Contemporary Art Museum of Marseille and in Les Rencontres d’Arles Photo Festival, Arles. His work has also been shown at the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofia, Madrid, the Kunst Museum, Bonn, the Transmediale exhibition in Berlin, the Arts Electronica exhibition of Linz, and at the American Museum of Natural History, New York.

短片曾入圍瑞士珞珈諾電影節，阿姆斯特丹紀錄片電影節，巴西聖保羅國際電影節，德國奧伯豪森短片節等數百個國際電影節，並數十次在世界各藝術平台和電影節上獲獎。
Liu has received dozens of awards at film festivals and visual art platforms around the world for his short films; they have also been shortlisted in hundreds of international film festivals, including the Locarno Film Festival in Switzerland, the International Documentary Film Festival Amsterdam, the Sao Paulo International Film Festival in Brazil and the Oberhausen Film Festival in Germany.
