The Libratorium-A is designed to foster team-based learning and provide an interactive and collaborative environment where users can engage in a shared learning experience. Our primary goals are to facilitate knowledge transfer, improve problem-solving skills, and encourage creative thinking through teamwork.

Equipped with resources that cater to diverse learning styles and objectives, the Libratorium-A transcends being a mere venue. It serves as a vibrant community learning hub where knowledge is exchanged, inspiration is shared, and the spirit of teamwork is celebrated.

Booking the Libratorium-A

Eligible Users

CityU Academic Staff and Administrative Staff of Equivalent Status are eligible to make advance bookings for the Libratorium-A via the Resource Booker.

Booking Policies

Room: Libratorium-A 
Opening hours: 09:00-23:00                                      
Quota: 10 hours / week
Duration: 1 hour / session
No. of days for advance booking: 30 days
Online booking: Resource Booker

 

General Guidelines

  • The Libratorium-A is specifically allocated for university teaching and learning activities, as well as library-related events such as workshops and book talks.
  • All time slots are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • Booking for Libratorium-A can be made online via the Resource Booker.
  • Each booking session begins at the top of the hour (e.g., 9:00, 18:00) and can extend for one or more hours.
  • After an online booking is confirmed, users will receive an email confirmation.
  • If a group arrives late for more than 15 minutes, their reservation will be canceled, and the room may be reassigned to another group for the remaining time of the booking.
  • The venue operates on a self-service basis, so users are required to read and adhere to the instructions for the proper operation of any equipment or facilities.
  • After using the room, please restore it to its original setting.
  • Users are responsible for any damages of the furniture and equipment in the rooms.
  • Please observe Library Regulations at all times.

 

Important Notes to Users

  • The library may need to block certain bookings for library-related events, information literacy programs, maintenance activities, or unforeseen circumstances that require the temporary closure of Libratorium-A.
  • The library reserves the right to cancel or reschedule a booking. The affected user will be notified as soon as possible so that alternative arrangements can be made whenever feasible.
  • Users shall not leave any valuable belongings unattended in the room. The library is not responsible for any loss or damage to personal items.
