Enjoy Reading — Stories of Travelers Joint Writing Contest Shanghai University of Finance and Economics & City University of Hong Kong & Feng Chia University Traveling makes life rich and colorful. We walk through life and journey to memorable places, thereby accumulating wonderful experiences and making interesting discoveries. Come and share your journeys with us! Tell us about your travel experiences and discoveries, or share a reflection from your life’s journey. Participation 1. Eligibility: All current students (full time, part-time, and exchange students) of City University of Hong Kong, Feng Chia University and Shanghai University of Finance and Economics) are eligible to participate. 2. Your entry: A written submission, either in Chinese or English, in any form of writing, including prose, fiction or poetry. Entries must be your own original, unpublished works, up to 2,000 words in length. All submissions must relate to the theme “Stories of Travelers”. Multiple entries are welcome. 3. Submission: Please submit your entries to enjoyreading@cityu.edu.hk with a subject heading consisting of The Story of Travelers Writing Competition + University Name (short form) + Your Name. Please also provide your detailed contact information including full name, university, department, year of study, email address and contact phone number in both the entry and email. 4. Closing Date: Submissions must be received by 31 October 2015. Results will be announced in early 2016 and winners will be notified by email. 5. Evaluation Criteria: Submissions will be evaluated based on: 1. Adherence to Topic (30%); 2. Creativity (30%); 3. Structure (20%) and 4. Grammar (20%). 6. Recognition: Successful writers will have their story published in a printed book edition and will receive a copy of the book plus a certificate. 7.
