Appendix A: Expensive Items

A.1. Any item, regardless of the format, that is recommended for library purchase will be considered expensive if it falls into any of the categories listed in A.3 below.
A.2. To ensure that the recommendation of an expensive item for library purchase is supported and approved by the department, the recommendation must be endorsed by the Head (or his/her designate) or a Chair Professor of the department of the recommender.

In order to make the table simple and easy to use, only US currency is listed above. Other currencies should be converted to US dollars for checking purpose.

A.4. The University Librarian provides final approval for all purchases mentioned in A.3.
