The course will cover the following major components, including the professional organization and operation systems within the construction industry: the role of government and how the related professions input themselves to form a highly efficient work system in Hong Kong; basic concepts about the delivery, managing, and construction of various types of development projects; appreciation of architecture/engineering beauties and sustainable construction; the outreaching of Hong Kong’s construction professions in the global market.
Besides usual lectures and tutorials, seminars by external practitioners will be held in order to bring real-world vision into the classroom. A series of visits with specific themes will also be organized for similar purposes.
