GE2249 - Maximising the Study Abroad Experience

Through various stimulating and interactive learning activities, this course aims to assist students to derive maximum benefits from an overseas experience. This GE course is designed to facilitate students’ learning in the following ways: to stimulate student interest in and help clarify their rationale for studying abroad; to better understand themselves and how to actively enhance their intercultural competence, cross-cultural communication skills, adjustment and coping strategies; to highlight methods for further developing their intercultural intelligence, personal and professional competencies with regard to purposeful career planning; to expedite their skills development on how to effectively share and articulate their learning experiences, especially with prospective employers.
