The course contents include explaining the concepts in numerical descriptive measures, sampling distributions, confidence interval estimation, hypothesis testing, and simple linear regression model. The emphasis will be on selecting appropriate statistical methods to analyse real-life business data, how to interpret the results and give recommendations for business decisions. Excel will be used to analyse data arising from real-life business problems. Learning activities includes two hours of lectures and one hour of tutorial per week. The assessment activities includes four quizzes and two assignments and a final examination.
