This course aims to provide students with a basic understanding of the social construction of gender concepts and relationships. It guides both female and male students in exploring the sociological, psychological and biological boundaries of the sexes and assists them in considering how these boundaries affect their everyday lives, inter-personal interactions, and life chances and choices. The course examines gender relationships in a number of societies and highlights the significance of gender equality. It facilitates in-depth discussions of sexual ideologies, feminist concepts and gender politics.
