Course Aims

This course aims to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the land management systems and development impacts across the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and Chinese Mainland. In particular, this course will address the complex and dynamic relationships between land management exercise, pragmatic property market responses, and long-term growth strategies, along with regional and local infrastructure investment and management, with a strong focus on the issues of sustainable development and increased environmental concern. In addition to environmental aspects, the fiscal impacts of land management exercise for local infrastructure and services will be examined across Hong Kong and Mainland.

Continuous Assessment: 50%
Examination: 50%
Examination Duration: 3 hours
To pass a course, a student must obtain minimum marks of 30% in both coursework and examination components, and an overall mark of at least 40%.
