Course Aims | ||||||||||
This course aims to introduce students to the principles and applications of data warehousing and data mining. The components of a data warehouse, including data source and transformation tools, metadata management, query reporting and OLAP, will be analysed. A comprehensive introduction to different data mining techniques, including feature selection, predictive modelling, clustering, and association rule mining, will be provided. Students will also learn to develop solutions to data warehousing and data mining problems in different domains. | ||||||||||
