FENG Chen
1986年出生於武漢，2009年畢業於中國美術學院新媒體專業，2014–2015年參與荷蘭 Rijksakademie 駐留專案，現在於阿姆斯特丹和杭州生活及工作。
Born in Wuhan in 1986, Feng graduated from China Academy of Art in 2009, majoring in new media. In 2014-2015, Feng participated in the residency program at the Rijksakademie van beeldende kunsten in the Netherlands. He currently lives and works in Amsterdam and Hangzhou.

「圖像的出現和消失是馮晨在作品想要表現的核心內容。同樣，時間這個概念也是其作品重要的組成部分之一。在他的影片中, 同樣的鏡頭會不斷地迴圈交替出現。馮晨將他的攝像機瞄準構建生活的事件和人物，但是他通過層層剝離它們的表像，將其轉換為某種令人疑惑的呈現方式。
馮晨的作品質疑媒介的權威性。他試圖通過攝像機解構並且重建這種操控權，轉換它們運作和再現世界的手段。最近他試圖解剖錄影中視覺聽覺之間的同步，再通過他的作品重新連接，導致觀者產生質疑，到底是我們應該信任感覺還是感覺有可能在說謊。

“The appearance and disappearance of images is the core content of Feng’s works. Time is also one of the important components of his oeuvre.
“Minocchio” (Minotaur + Pinocchio) is the symbol of “suicidal robots”.
In his videos, the same frames run and interchange repeatedly. Feng focuses on everyday life, especially that of people, which he reveals through his camera by peeling off the external layers one by one to reveal people and events under a harsh light. Feng‘s oeuvre also questions the authority of the media. His camera deconstructs and reconstructs the control (of the media), altering its operations and reincarnations.
Recently, he managed to dissect the synchronicity of audio and visual elements in videos, which allowed him to then reconnect them through his works. The result confuses the audience, making them question whether they should trust their feelings or whether their feelings are perhaps deceiving them.”
